Few weeks after President Bola Tinubu visited Plateau State and promised justice for victims of serial attacks, the State Government on Friday filed charges against five suspects arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) in connection with the March 2026 killings of several persons in Angwa- Rukuba, Jos North LGA of the state.
The government filed charges of criminal conspiracy to commit terrorism and other related offences against the quartet of Isa Umar Ibrahim, Auwalu Abubakar aka Auwalu Dogo, and Musa Abubakar Ibrahim aka Yaroro.
On his part, Adamu Isa Alhassan, who is one of the five defendants, was charged with criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide, illegal possession of firearms, and illegally dealing in arms and ammunition. They were arrested between April 3 and April 10, 2026.
6. NNPC Delivers Over 1 Billion Litres to Dangote Refinery in April 2026
LAGOS, Nigeria – NNPC Trading delivered more than 1.08 billion litres of crude oil to the Dangote Refinery in April 2026, marking a sharp rise in local feedstock support for Africa’s largest single-train facility.
NaijaChoice News analysis of tanker movements confirms the volume hit 1.03 million metric tonnes, or roughly 6.8 million barrels, through eight cargoes handled solely by the state oil firm’s trading arm.
The shipments drew from key Nigerian streams including Anyala, Bonga, Odudu, Forcados, Qua Iboe and Utapate, all routed through the refinery’s offshore Single Point Mooring systems at Lekki.
Five of the cargoes have been fully discharged while three others are still awaiting berthing or final unloading, keeping a steady flow into storage tanks.
7. Engr. Femi Sanni (Araba) Declares Kwara 2027 Governorship Ambition
Frontline aspirant, Engr. Femi Sanni, popularly known as Araba, on Tuesday submitted his letter of intent to contest for the governorship of Kwara State at the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat in Ilorin.

10. Tinubu Reshuffles Cabinet, Sacks Wale Edun, Dangiwa
President Bola Tinubu has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle affecting the membership of the Federal Executive Council.
This was contained in a memo signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, announcing that two cabinet members, Wale Edun and Ahmed Dangiwa, are to leave the cabinet, with replacements already named.
Edun, who served as Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, has been directed to hand over to Taiwo Oyedele, who will now take over the position. Oyedele previously served as minister of state in the ministry.
