Popular Nigerian relationship expert Blessing CEO has hit back at critics, including social media activist VeryDarkMan, who questioned her stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis and demanded she release medical records.
In a video posted on her Instagram page on Thursday, the influencer made it clear she has no plans to share her test results publicly. She said the documents contain technical details only trained doctors can properly interpret.
“Some of my close associates have already taken the results to medical experts outside the country for further review,” she stated.
Blessing CEO explained that her decision to speak out was never about money. She described the overwhelming support from her followers, many of whom she now sees as family after years on social media.
“I was completely clueless because I didn’t know anything about cancer. The goal was to be vulnerable, not to beg Nigerians for money,” she said in the clip.
The self-proclaimed relationship coach admitted she had little knowledge of the disease before her diagnosis, which left her confused and emotional. She only opened up after close friends urged her not to face the situation alone.
She insisted she remains willing to show the results privately to the right people. “If you want the result or if someone prominent reaches out, I am going to share all the evidence,” Blessing CEO added.
The controversy erupted after the influencer first revealed her condition in emotional videos earlier this week. She spoke of selling properties to fund treatment and appealed for public support as she battles the advanced stage of the disease.
VeryDarkMan had publicly challenged her to provide verifiable proof, a demand that sparked heated debates across Nigerian social media.
NaijaChoice News monitored the unfolding drama and notes that Blessing CEO’s case has once again thrown the spotlight on breast cancer awareness in Nigeria. Many women still face late diagnosis due to fear, stigma and limited access to quality healthcare.
The influencer maintained she has nothing to hide from genuine well-wishers but will not turn her private health records into public entertainment.
As reactions continue to pour in, Nigerians remain divided between those offering prayers and those calling for more transparency. Blessing CEO, however, says her focus is on fighting the illness with the support she has received so far.
