2. US-Iran War: FG Reopens Fuel Imports, Dangote Reels From FX Losses

The Federal Government has lifted its ban on fuel imports, granting six new licences for the importation of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol), following concerns over supply amid geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. The move marks a sharp reversal of Nigeria’s recent policy aimed at reducing dependence on imported fuel.

This comes as the Dangote Petroleum Refinery grapples with mounting foreign exchange losses, highlighting the challenges of the naira-for-crude arrangement. A senior management official of the $20bn Lekki-based firm disclosed that the deal’s inefficiency has eroded potential earnings, even as regulators seek to stabilise domestic fuel supply.

Consequently, oil marketers and domestic crude refiners have called on the Federal Government to boost crude supply to Dangote and other local refineries to shield the country from fuel scarcity, as is being reported in other countries due to the Middle East crisis.

Medical teams worked tirelessly to stabilise her but could not control the haemorrhage.

5. BREAKING: Dangote Refinery Reduces Petrol Price

Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has lowered its petrol prices, setting the gantry price at N1,200 per litre and the coastal price at N1,153 per litre.

The company disclosed this in a statement by its spokesperson Anthony Chijiena on Thursday.

The 650,000 per day refinery dropped its petrol by N85 to N1,200 per liter from N1,285 per liter.

The latest fuel price drop comes after at least five petrol price hikes carried out by the Dangote Refinery since March 2026 amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East.

8. Why I Can’t Post Proof Of My Cancer Diagnosis Online – Blessing CEO Replies VeryDarkMan

Popular Nigerian relationship expert Blessing CEO has hit back at critics, including social media activist VeryDarkMan, who questioned her stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis and demanded she release medical records.

In a video posted on her Instagram page on Thursday, the influencer made it clear she has no plans to share her test results publicly. She said the documents contain technical details only trained doctors can properly interpret.

10. Igboho Orders ‘Kidnapping’ Of Tiktoker Funny Thinker Over Support For Obi

Yoruba Nation Activist Sunday Igboho Issues 24-Hour Ultimatum to Apprehend TikToker Over Criticism of Tinubu Endorsement

Controversy is brewing in the Southwest after Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho, allegedly directed his loyalists to bring in a popular TikToker within 24 hours. The move follows a viral video in which the content creator openly challenged Igboho’s recent declaration of support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid in 2027.

NaijaChoice News reports that the directive came via a voice note now circulating on social media. In the recording, a voice believed to be Igboho’s instructed one of his aides: “Hello Adebas, both Alado and Funny Thinker, you must bring both of them to my house in Ibadan within 24 hours. If you don’t bring them to me, I swear to God, I can’t tell you what would happen.”
