A video now trending across social media platforms shows Abia lawmaker Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh pulling into the National Assembly complex behind the wheel of a brand new Xpeng electric SUV.
The sleek luxury ride, reportedly valued at over N160 million, has sparked fresh questions barely weeks after the same legislator grilled finance officials over ₦1.15 trillion in approved capital projects that remain undisbursed.

3. Why We Pray “Die By Fire” Prayers – Dr. DK Olukoya
Dr D.K. Olukoya, General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, has released a fresh teaching to clear the air on the ministry’s popular but often criticised prayer point, “Die By Fire.”
NaijaChoice News reports that the message directly tackles misconceptions, stressing that the prayer is not about wishing harm on people but a targeted spiritual weapon against forces of darkness. Olukoya explained it as a declaration that destroys evil plantations, stubborn problems and satanic assignments hindering destinies.
The cleric posed a key question in the teaching: “When we pray the ‘Die By Fire’ prayer in Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, what are we truly saying?” He described it as a command rooted in Scripture, calling down divine judgment on works of darkness to enforce freedom and total restoration.
4. Prove ₦280 Million Debt, Get ₦1 Billion Reward – Umahi To Ohiri
The Minister of Works, David Umahi, has directed his legal team to commence court action against businesswoman Tracy Ohiri over renewed allegations that he owes her N280 million for campaign materials.

7. Two Anambra Local Governments Clash Over Renaming Of Road After Anyaoku
A disagreement has erupted between Idemili North and Onitsha North Local Government Areas of Anambra State following the decision by the Idemili North authorities to rename the popular Limca Road after former Commonwealth Secretary-General, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, a decision that has been vehemently been rejected by the Onitsha North Local Government which insists that the road lies within its territorial jurisdiction. The development has sparked debate among residents and stakeholders over the legality of the action and the authority responsible for naming public roads within the state.
The controversy began when the Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area, Hon. Stanley Nkwoka, announced the renaming of Limca Road, a major route linking Nkpor Junction with the area around the Mausoleum of Nigeria’s first President, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, at St. Charles Borromeo Roundabout. The road, which also connects Awka Old Road, the Onitsha–Awka–Enugu Expressway and the Obosi–Umuoji axis, was officially renamed “Ichie Emeka Anyaoku Road” during a brief ceremony held at Nkpor Junction.
