VDM Reveals Victor Boniface, Phyno Appeals in Blord Detention Saga
Share on WhatsappShare on FacebookShare on X (Twitter)Share on Telegram

NaijaChoice News has monitored the escalating online showdown between fiery social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), and human rights crusader Omoyele Sowore, which just hit a boiling point with explosive claims and a swift counter-attack.

The latest twist comes barely 24 hours after VDM publicly revealed that respected figures like Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface, singer Phyno, and other influencers he holds in high regard have been pleading with him to drop the criminal case against detained businessman Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly called Blord. In a viral video that set tongues wagging, VDM hinted that Blord could walk free as early as today if the pressure from these big names continues. The Nairaland thread capturing the full details of VDM’s revelation has since gone viral, with netizens divided over whether the activist should yield to the appeals or push for full justice.

But the real firestorm erupted earlier today when Sahara Reporters dropped its bombshell exclusive report titled “EXCLUSIVE: Social Media Influencer VeryDarkMan Held Secret Night Meeting With IGP Disu In Abuja, Plotted Against Sowore.” The publication alleged that VDM held a clandestine late-night meeting with Inspector-General of Police Tunji Disu at the IGP’s private lodge in Abuja on Sunday. According to multiple sources cited by Sahara Reporters, the two discussed strategies to “deal with” Sowore, whom VDM reportedly described as a blackmailer using his platform for extortion. The report painted a picture of a shadowy alliance, complete with details of an unmarked vehicle, dimmed lights, and instructions from Disu for VDM to keep attacking Sowore online while avoiding public mention of the IGP’s name.

Sahara Reporters further claimed the meeting was tied to the ongoing Blord saga, noting Sowore’s recent vow to fight for the businessman’s release after his arraignment on charges of criminal conspiracy, impersonation, and unauthorised use of VDM’s identity. Blord has been remanded at Kuje Correctional Centre until April 27.

In a swift and fiery response that has now gone mega-viral, VDM recorded a video denying every single allegation. Looking straight into the camera, he expressed deep disappointment in Sowore and gave both the activist and Sahara Reporters exactly one hour to provide concrete evidence of the supposed meeting. “If you can prove it, I will delete all my social media accounts and never speak online again. But if you cannot provide proof within one hour, you should shut down Sahara Reporters,” VDM declared, adding the classic line: “He who alleges must prove.”

The clip has since racked up hundreds of thousands of views across Instagram, X, and Facebook, with Nigerians split between those hailing VDM’s boldness and others accusing Sowore of desperation in the Blord matter. Some netizens recalled Sowore’s earlier statement that he had intervened for VDM in the past and did not mind the insults, while others questioned why the human rights activist is so invested in Blord’s freedom.

As the clock ticks on VDM’s ultimatum and the Blord case hangs in the balance, the feud between these two outspoken figures shows no sign of cooling down.
