VeryDarkMan has disclosed that Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface personally called him to plead on behalf of detained crypto entrepreneur Blord.
The activist made the revelation in a fresh video that has since gone viral across Nigerian social media platforms. He added that musician Phyno and several other prominent Nigerians he respects also reached out with similar appeals to settle the matter.
Blord, whose real name is Linus Williams Ifejirika, founder of Blord Group, remains in Kuje Correctional Facility, Abuja. The case centres on allegations that he used VDM’s image without consent for promotional materials, leading to charges of impersonation and related offences.
According to VDM, Blord’s legal representatives have now initiated contact in a bid to resolve the dispute. The activist said the lawyer is exploring ways to reach an understanding and avoid further escalation.
VDM also addressed the role of activist Omoyele Sowore in the matter. He claimed Blord’s lawyer clarified that certain interviews and statements attributed to Sowore and his team were issued without the detainee’s approval or knowledge.
NaijaChoice News understands Blord is reportedly unwell while in detention. VDM, however, indicated that there could be movement soon in the case.
The social media personality stated that if Blord’s lawyers file a bail application, his side will not oppose it. This development comes barely two weeks after Blord was remanded in custody.
The saga, which began as an online disagreement over image rights and promotions, has drawn widespread attention across Nigeria. It has pulled in voices from the world of football, music, activism and business, reflecting how personal disputes quickly become national conversations.
Observers say the latest twist suggests possible de-escalation, though Blord himself had earlier insisted through associates that he wants the full legal process to run its course.
