The Ilorin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Kofoworola Motunrayo Kolawole, a 37-year-old company representative, over an alleged N993,247,796.70 fraud.
NaijaChoice News reports that the arrest followed a petition from Predictus Remit Limited, a subsidiary of Fairmoney Microfinance Bank. Kolawole and two company directors — Duru Ogadima and Talukder Muhammed Khalidur Rahman, both still at large — along with their firm, DKK Partners Limited, are accused of obtaining the funds under the pretext of facilitating a foreign exchange transaction.
The money was received on November 25, 2025, through a Providus Bank account. It was meant to be converted into the dollar equivalent of $675,219.44 and remitted to the petitioner.
2. Man Bags 30 Years Imprisonment in Lagos for $62,500 and €36,020 Fraud
Justice Ismail Ijelu of the Lagos State High Court, Ikeja, has convicted and sentenced Lagos businessman Olumuyiwa Teniola Idowu and his company, Tennyvans Nigeria Limited, to a cumulative 30 years in prison.
The judgment, delivered on Monday, March 30, 2026, followed a six-count charge of stealing and failure to declare assets involving $62,500 and €36,020. NaijaChoice News reports that the offences, which date back to 2012 transactions, contravened Section 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011, and Section 27(3) of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Act, 2004.

5. WAEC Releases 2026 WASSCE Timetable (FULL LIST)
West African Examinations Council, WAEC, has released the timetable for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE, for school candidates.
This Nigeria news platform understands that the timetable was published on WAEC’s X page on Monday.
According to the timetable, the examination will commence Tuesday, April 21, 2026, and end on Friday, June 19, 2026.
The examination will begin with Foods and Nutrition 3 (Practical) Planning Session and Home Management 3 (Practical) Planning Session.
