3. EFCC Fined ₦500,000 For Seeking Multiple Adjournments In Emefiele’s Trial
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday suffered a major embarrassment in the ongoing trial of former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, as Justice Hamza Muazu of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Maitama, Abuja, imposed a N500,000 fine on the anti-graft agency for repeatedly delaying proceedings.
The former CBN helmsman is standing trial on a 20-count amended charge bordering on criminal breach of trust, forgery, abuse of office, conspiracy to obtain by false pretence and obtaining money by false pretence. The EFCC had accused Emefiele of obtaining the sum of $6,230,000 by false pretence, purportedly meant for international election observers ahead of the 2023 general elections. The commission also alleged that the ex-CBN boss conferred corrupt advantages on two firms – April 1616 Nigeria Ltd and Architekon Nigeria Ltd.
4. “Please Don’t Kill Them”- Wife Of Missing Bandit Appeals To Nigerian Military
A heart-rending video making the rounds on social media has captured the desperate plea of a woman identified as the wife of a missing suspected bandit named Muhammad, throwing fresh spotlight on alleged extrajudicial killings during anti-banditry operations across Nigeria’s troubled Northwest.
In the clip, which has been widely shared on platforms including TikTok, Instagram and Facebook within the past 48 hours, the woman, speaking in tears in what appears to be an open field, addresses her husband directly while appealing to soldiers.

Yoruba nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, on Tuesday dismissed remarks by human rights activist and former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, regarding transactional politics and activism.
Igboho maintained that his agitation for improved security in the South-West, as well as his support for President Bola Tinubu’s prospective second-term bid in 2027, constitute his inalienable constitutional rights.
He stressed that his actions are firmly rooted in advancing the collective interests of the Yoruba people and fostering Nigeria’s overall development.
6. APC Thug ‘Shawarma’ Confesses to Killing 32 in Ibadan, Vows Support for Tinubu in 2027
Ibadan, Oyo State – A viral video circulating on social media has exposed a suspected political enforcer known as “Shawarma” boldly confessing to the murder of 32 people in Ibadan while pledging loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The footage, first obtained and published by SaharaReporters on March 17, 2026, shows Shawarma surrounded by a group of men believed to be loyalists of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during what appears to be a political rally or gathering.
In the clip, one supporter asks Shawarma how many people he has killed in Ibadan. Without any sign of remorse, he replies that he acted in self-defence during violent clashes.
