Award-winning singer Tiwa Savage has revealed that she has had only one truly good relationship in her life, which sadly ended with her partner’s death.
In a candid interview on the Flow with Korty podcast with Korty EO, the 45-year-old singer said most of her past relationships have been disappointing.
“There is hardly any relationship I would look back at and see anything positive. They are all d*cks! Actually, there is one, but he passed away. May his soul rest in peace. He was incredible,” she said.

Savage, who was previously married to Tunji “Tee Billz” Balogun from 2013 to 2018, shared that these experiences have shaped how she raises her son, Jamil, now 10 years old.
“I always tell him, you mum suffered oo, make sure you treat any girl like a queen. It is very important for me to raise him as a good man. He is going to make mistakes, he is not perfect. But at the core of him, I want him to be kind,” she added.
The singer also opened up about the challenges she faced after giving birth to Jamil in 2015. She admitted she always wanted a girl and cried when she learned it was a boy.
“Honestly, I didn’t bond with my son for the first year or two. I always wanted a girl. They told me it was a boy, and I started crying.
“So when he came he was always crying and my body didn’t snap back. I looked horrible. I was supposed to do a campaign with Pepsi at the time and they turned me away. And I just thought this boy has destroyed me. But now, he is my best friend,” Savage said.
Despite the initial struggles, Tiwa Savage now describes her bond with Jamil as unbreakable.
The interview has sparked reactions online, with many praising her honesty about love, motherhood, and personal growth.
