Comrade Saidu Bello Said, immediate past Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kano State, has fired a strong warning to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will suffer a crushing defeat at the polls long before voting ends on election day.
Speaking in an interview monitored by NaijaChoice News, the outspoken ADC chieftain said growing anger over bad governance has left Nigerians fed up and ready to deliver a clear message through the ballot box in 2027.
“Nigerians will never vote for Tinubu in the coming election. They are tired. Democracy is not being respected,” Said told journalists.
He went further with a bold prediction: “Tinubu will lose the election before 10:00 am. Whoever votes for Tinubu, especially in the North, will be found at the bottom of hell.”
The former ADC spokesman did not stop at predictions. He also took a swipe at the current economic hardship hitting ordinary Nigerians, particularly the continuous rise in fuel prices.
“For example, fuel price has increased when there’s no reason for that,” he said. “Nigeria’s budget was pegged at $70, but with the recent war, it has increased. What is being done for Nigerians?”
NaijaChoice News notes that the comment comes at a time when global oil prices have surged above the 2026 budget benchmark of around $65 per barrel, driven by geopolitical tensions including conflicts in the Middle East. Yet, pump prices of petrol have continued to climb, adding to the pains of citizens already struggling with high living costs.
On the political front, Said spoke confidently about the ADC’s future in Kano State, especially after the high-profile defection of former Kano Governor and 2023 NNPP presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to the party earlier this year. Party leaders had described the move as a major game-changer that has already triggered a surge in membership across the North.
“The party will get its house in order before 2027,” Said assured, adding that the ADC is actively repositioning itself to take advantage of the shifting political alignments ahead of the next general elections.
He urged Nigerians not to miss the opportunity for change, describing the 2027 polls as a crucial moment to break free from the ruling party.
“See 2027 as a time to save themselves from the clutches of APC,” he said.
