In the emotional clip, the woman, who says she has been married to the Fuji star for over 13 years and has three children with him, narrated her ordeal from her sick bed.
“I am the wife of Shanko Rasheed. We have three children together. I have been suffering domestic violence in that relationship and not just me alone, he used to assault my children too especially this late Jamal. All our neighbours can testify to this,” she said.
She revealed that on October 12, 2025, she was involved in a terrible accident that badly damaged her leg, leaving her unable to walk till today. Before the accident, their landlord had already been asking them to pack out of their apartment. On October 26, 2025, the landlord served them quit notice.
According to her, Shanko Rasheed who was rarely staying at home returned briefly, packed all his belongings and abandoned the family.
“I started calling him to explain our accommodation issues, school fees of our children, feeding because I couldn’t walk. Later he replied me and said I should go and borrow for now for us to get a new accommodation and to pay my children school fees,” she added.
The woman, who has no siblings and lost her father, said it was late Jamal and her mother that were taking care of her and the other children.
She borrowed money from Baruwa area as instructed by her husband. The moment she informed him, he came, collected the entire money and left again.
Jamal, who was just 12, became so depressed that his teachers were calling the mother that the boy could no longer concentrate in school. He was always thinking about his mother’s condition.
The boy later fell seriously ill. Doctors told the family he had high blood pressure. Despite moving him from one hospital to another, the situation worsened. He was placed on oxygen. The wife claimed she called Shanko Rasheed who asked how much the oxygen cost. When she said N150,000, he sent only N60,000.
“As I was making the payment for his meds, Jamal passed away,” she cried.
In Part 2 of the video, the devastated woman alleged that after Jamal’s death, Shanko Rasheed came to the hospital, accused her of killing their son, brought out a gun and threatened to kill her too. She claimed people around had to rescue her. He also allegedly brought out a cutlass, threatening to cut her into pieces.
She further claimed that till now, Shanko has not allowed her to see her son’s body which is still at the hospital, and has taken the remaining two children away from her.
“Nigerians please help me. Jamal was my best friend. He was the one taking care of me. I have nobody. Please help me get my children back from him,” she begged.
The story has sparked serious outrage on social media with many Nigerians dragging the Fuji singer and calling for thorough investigation into the allegations of abuse and abandonment.
NaijaChoice News is closely monitoring developments. We urge the relevant authorities and child welfare agencies to immediately look into this matter to ensure the safety of the remaining children and get justice for late Jamal.
