Iran is waging a war detonating global chaos led by a man in a coma, sources have revealed today.
As previously reported by NaijaChoice News, Iran’s long-time Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was assassinated on February 28, 2026, in a joint US-Israeli airstrike that devastated his Tehran compound and killed several family members.

Multiple sources told The Sun that the new Ayatollah lost at least one leg and suffered serious damage to his stomach or liver. It remains unclear if the injuries occurred on the exact day his 86-year-old father was killed, but he is currently not directing the military strategy now sparking worldwide energy market turmoil.
In a desperate bid to hide their leader’s dire state, Iranian state television today broadcast what it claimed was Mojtaba Khamenei’s first official statement since taking power. The message – read out by a news anchor beside a still photo of the new leader – vowed that Iran “will not hesitate to avenge the blood of Iranians” killed in the conflict. It pledged to press ahead with attacks on targets including Dubai and to keep the vital Strait of Hormuz blocked.
A Sun source inside Tehran, who risked his life to smuggle details to an exiled dissident in London, described the new leader’s condition in extraordinary detail. Mojtaba Khamenei is said to be under intensive care at Sina University Hospital in the city’s historic quarter, where an entire section of the building has been sealed off and ringed by heavy security.
The source, who is not a doctor but has contacts within the hospital’s trauma team, said the new Supreme Leader is in “very serious” condition and is being treated by Mohammad Reza Zafarghandi.
While Iranian officials and some state-linked voices insist Mojtaba is only “lightly injured” with a fractured foot and minor facial cuts, and is “safe and sound” in a secure location, opposition groups in the diaspora and several international reports have echoed claims of a coma and far more severe wounds.
The power vacuum at the top has not slowed Iran’s aggression. The regime continues missile and drone strikes across the Gulf, while its effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz – through which one-fifth of global oil passes – has sent crude prices soaring and triggered panic in energy markets worldwide.
For Nigeria, already battling fuel subsidy removal pains and naira volatility, this fresh spike in global oil prices could worsen pump prices and inflation in the coming weeks.
