Khar Police in Mumbai, India, have arrested a 39-year-old Nigerian man, Eze Njoku, for possession of ecstasy tablets and cocaine.

The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) intercepted him around 11:15 pm on April 16 at Sherly Rajan Road in Bandra while he waited for customers. Officials spotted him wearing a pouch and attempting to slip away on seeing their patrol vehicle.

NaijaChoice News reports that a crowd quickly gathered as the officers identified themselves before searching him.

Police recovered 45 ecstasy pills weighing 24 grammes, valued at Rs 7.2 lakh, and 213 grammes of cocaine worth Rs 2.14 crore from the pouch. The total haul is estimated at Rs 2.21 crore, which converts to more than N320 million at current exchange rates.
