The All Progressives Congress has elected a new National Working Committee to lead the party into the 2027 general elections.
The exercise took place at the ongoing 8th National Convention held at Eagles Square in Abuja, where over 8,400 delegates from across the 36 states and the FCT gathered for two days of deliberations. NaijaChoice News reports that the poll was largely by consensus, with delegates ratifying the list presented by the Convention Election Committee after hours of high-level consultations.
President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, several state governors and top party leaders attended the convention, which many insiders described as a crucial step towards consolidating the APC’s structures ahead of the polls.
