K1 De Ultimate’s Daughter Eye Lagos Assembly Seat

Barrister Damilola Ayinde Marshal has declared her ambition to contest the Surulere Constituency 2 seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2027.

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tourism made the announcement on her Instagram page on Tuesday, positioning herself as a fresh voice for the constituency.

“I am excited to share that I, Barr. Damilola Ayinde Marshal, am stepping forward to serve the good people of Surulere Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly,” she wrote.

A lawyer with 12 years of courtroom experience, Marshal said her professional journey has sharpened her grasp of governance, justice delivery, and everyday community challenges.

“I am a woman of excellence and results. I am ready to serve and lead. With my background, I am fully prepared and ready to fight for what truly matters. I promise to be the voice of the youths in the House,” she added.

NaijaChoice News understands she is targeting the seat currently held by Hon. Mosunmola Rotimi Sangodara of the All Progressives Congress.

Marshal urged residents to back competence and progress, ending her post with the rallying cry: “Youth Lokan!!! Igbega Eko, Ajumose wa ni.”

She holds a law degree from North America University, Houdegbe in Cotonou, Benin Republic, and was called to the Nigerian Bar on December 15, 2015. She later earned a Master of Laws from the University of Lagos in 2022.

Governor Sanwo-Olu appointed her as Senior Special Assistant on Tourism in May 2024. The move drew wide attention after her father, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall (K1 De Ultimate), publicly thanked the governor during the coronation and birthday celebration of Oba Sikirullah Apena in a viral video, revealing that his daughter had personally asked him to deliver the message.

As the 2027 polls approach, her entry adds fresh energy to Lagos politics, blending legal expertise, executive experience, and the rich cultural legacy of one of Nigeria’s music giants.
