2027 Presidential Election May Be Inconclusive – Primate Ayodele

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the fiery founder and spiritual leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has warned that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Nigerian Judiciary will single-handedly determine the outcome of the 2027 presidential election, with ordinary voters playing little or no significant role.

NaijaChoice News reports that the outspoken cleric, known for his bold annual prophecies on national and global affairs, dropped this revelation in a statement issued through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, just as political parties intensify preparations for the next general elections.

According to Primate Ayodele, the election will be marred by serious irregularities, including hacking and deliberate internet disruptions, leading to massive embarrassment and humiliation for INEC.

“The judiciary and INEC will pay for the coming election dearly because the electoral commission will face embarrassment and humiliation. The INEC will be involved in electoral malpractices in 2027. We will hear about hacking and internet disruption towards the election. INEC and Judiciary will conclude the election, don’t expect much from voters,” he declared.

The prophet further lamented that Nigerians will lose faith in the judiciary, describing it as an “error” due to alleged misinterpretation of the electoral process and the constitution both during and after the polls.

“People will see the judiciary as an error because they won’t want to listen to them, because there will be misinterpretation of the electoral process during and after the election. People who formulate the process of this electoral act will be stranded because Nigerians will rise against them,” Primate Ayodele stated.

He added that electorates will begin to twist the constitution in frustration, urging civil society organisations and activists to brace up for intense advocacy if the true winner must be announced.

“The electorates will not want to believe in the judiciary; they will begin to twist the constitution. We should be careful of the post-election crisis because after the presidential election, things are going to change. Civil societies, activists need to do a lot if we want who wins to be announced,” the cleric stressed.

This latest prophecy from Primate Ayodele aligns with growing national anxieties over electoral integrity ahead of 2027. It comes barely weeks after intense debates in the National Assembly over proposed amendments to the Electoral Act 2022, particularly the Senate’s rejection of compulsory electronic transmission of results – a move many stakeholders fear could open floodgates to manipulation.

The warning also revives memories of the controversies that trailed the 2023 general elections, where INEC was heavily criticised for alleged technical failures and result discrepancies, while the judiciary faced backlash for upholding the presidential outcome despite multiple petitions.

Primate Ayodele, whose prophecies have previously sparked debates across Nigeria and beyond – including accurate forecasts on some international political events – has consistently raised red flags about the country’s democratic process. His message serves as a fresh call for vigilance as political gladiators begin positioning for the 2027 battle.
